If a part does not have its driver installed, the computer can not fully use it. For example, if a PC does not have a driver for the graphics card, the image quality will be poor. Windows maintains a list of these parts in the device manager that your can consult.
On Windows 7, Windows Vista
- Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner.
- Type device manager in the search bar and click on the Device Manager.
- The items with question or exclamation marks are drivers missing or badly installed. See install a driver to solve this problem.
On Windows XP
- Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner.
- Click Run..
- Type devmgmt.msc and press the Enter key.
