splitting to understand the purpose of splitting transaction.
- Click on the transaction to split.
- Click on Split
- Decrease the amount in the destination account and press the Enter key on your keyboard.
- Choose the account where the rest of the amount should go.
This way, if you had a 200$ transaction in your bank account, when you will reduce to 120$ the amount that goes in "Expenses Computer" account, a split of 80$ will appear to cover the balance.
You can both balance this 80$ in another account or only a part of it, which would create another split with the balance and so on until the addition of all your split is equal to the total amount of the transaction.
